New England rafting trips generally include a stay at classic New England style accommodations in a resort, and there are some absolutely charming little places along the way from Vermont to Maine. You don't have to go far from the city to get on the river though! The Delaware River, 90 minutes outside of New York can host a day trip of whitewater, possibly including a little camping along the way. Get out into the woods and onto the rivers!
